Jelmata · Effective date: March 15, 2026 · Website analytics section added October 13, 2026
This privacy policy describes how Cellmata (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Jelmata (the “App”). Section 4 covers this website, jelmata.com.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and optionally a profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from the provider. We do not store your password — authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider.
Game data. We store your game statistics, scores, rankings, and leaderboard entries to provide gameplay features.
Analytics. We collect anonymous usage events (e.g. screens viewed, games played) associated with a randomly generated device identifier. If you are signed in, events may be linked to your user account. We do not collect device hardware identifiers.
Crash reports. We use Sentry to collect crash and error data, which may include device model, operating system version, and application state at the time of a crash. This data is used solely for debugging.
Purchase information. In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment details. We receive a record of your purchase entitlements (e.g. whether you have an active Pro subscription).
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and use cookies or similar technologies to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.
This website, jelmata.com, uses Google Analytics, a service of Google, to count visits and clicks to the App Store. When Google Analytics runs, Google receives:
_ga and _ga_*) to recognise a returning browser and a visit;Invite pages (/invite/…) never load Google Analytics. Google signals and ad personalisation are off, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising. Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months and user data, such as the identifiers, for 14 months. The Google Analytics cookies stay in your browser for up to 2 years unless you delete them. Google can process this data in the United States and other countries. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you visit from the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or we cannot tell your country, Google Analytics does not load until you select Accept in the banner. Before you choose, and after Reject, this website sends nothing to Google. You can change your choice here at any time. When you turn Google Analytics off, collection stops at once and this website deletes its Google Analytics cookies.
To apply this rule, the server that delivers the website reads the country that our host, Vercel, derives from your IP address, and stores only the result, consent or open, in a first-party cookie named jm_region for one hour. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under jm_analytics_consent. If your browser blocks storage, the banner shows again on the next page load.
Outside these countries, Google Analytics loads when a page opens. If you selected Reject before, for example on a visit from the EU, this browser keeps that choice: Google Analytics does not load, and you can change the choice above. To opt out, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block or delete cookies for this website in your browser.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. App analytics and crash data are retained for up to 12 months. Website analytics retention is described in section 4. When you delete your account, all associated personal data (profile, game history, leaderboard entries) is permanently removed.
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to restrict processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA to know what data we collect and to request deletion.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
